Completed installation and review of the Passport Escort 8500ci Plus with GPS on a 2004 Infinity G35 coupe. Video shows inside and outside views of the Radar Laser detector. Overall the Escort 8500ci plus is the best detector I have ever owned. I have owned numerous dash models of the Escort Detector including the 8500 X50 and 9500 and this unit tops all of them in regards to performance. Installation is very easy and can be completed by any auto enthusiast that has an understanding of automotive wiring. I considered the Passport Escort 9500ci but at over twice the price I did not see the advantages. The 9500ci does come with Laser shifters but in Florida Laser is not used that much and since Laser can only be operated stationary I did not see the need to spend the extra money. Make sure you buy the Plus because it is the one that comes with GPS so you can lock out false signals. Unit also has built in red light camera data base with USB plug for updates.
